The New Researchers group is part of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. It's mission is to foster collaborations and career development for young statisticians and probabilists. Until recently, most of these activities were in the US, particularly with the new researchers conference before the Joint Statistical Meeting. This year, the New Researchers group has initiated new conferences in Europe and Asia.
The New Researchers Group is open to any IMS member but is tailored to members within 10 years of completion of their doctorate degree.
